The Apple Watch and AirPods make for compelling accessories for any iPhone user, and if you’re among those who call themselves proud owners of all three gadgets, this particular device might interest you. Accessory brand RAEGR’s 3-in-1 charging stand seems a handy way to charge your Apple gadgets. And since Apple has stopped bundling chargers with its smartphones, an accessory like this makes even more sense. But I’m getting ahead of myself here. So let me start at the beginning.

  • The RAEGR MagFix Arc M1050, which is a mouthful of a name, is a wireless charging stand designed primarily for iPhone users. Made out of aluminium alloy, it looks quite elegant and features a MagSafe charging puck in front, where you can attach your iPhone magnetically. Do note that for MagSafe charging, you’d need an iPhone 12 or later, and attach it either without a cover or use a MagSafe-compatible case.

  • The arc-shaped charging stand features a heavy base to ensure it doesn’t topple with an iPhone attached, a circular puck-like charging area in front, and a smaller charging area for the Apple Watch on top. The upper part of the base is the third charging spot, which can charge AirPods or any other Qi-enabled devices.
  • There’s a Type-C port on the back, and while RAEGR includes a Type-A to Type-C cable in the box, a wall charger isn’t included. The brand recommends a QC3.0 adapter (18W or higher) to power the device.
  • The primary charging area on the charger is rated to deliver up to 15W power, while an Apple Watch can be charged at up to 2.5W using the dedicated charging area on top. The base can deliver an additional 3.5W for AirPods or up to 5W for other devices which are compatible with Qi wireless charging.
  • One thing to note is that while the MagFix Arc M1050 can deliver up to 15W via its main charging point in the front, iPhones can only be charged at 7.5W, as per the restrictions imposed by Apple. So the charging speeds are superfast, and it’s best to leave your phone on it for extended periods of time.

  • Due to its design, the ideal spot for RAEGR MagFix Arc M1050 is your bedside table. It can even be used as a handy desktop mount when you’re working… thanks to the magnetic capabilities, it’s quite convenient to place or remove your phone on it, and among other things, the stand with the iPhone placed on it can be used for watching videos or for video calls too.

Verdict

Priced at Rs 2,999 and available via Raegr.com, Amazon and Flipkart, the RAEGR MagFix Arc M1050 is much more than a novelty device. It’s a useful accessory that can juice up multiple gadgets simultaneously, help reduce wire clutter, and even function as a nice-looking phone stand. Worth the outlay, I’d say.
